Plant & Machinery Manager (Construction)

Job Overview:

The Plant & Machinery Manager will oversee all aspects of batching plant operations and the management of machinery and equipment at a property development company. This role is essential in ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the company's batching plants and construction machinery, contributing to the smooth progress of development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Batching Plant Operations:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the batching plants to ensure efficient and timely production of concrete.
  • Manage plant performance to meet project specifications, timelines, and production schedules.
  • Monitor quality control processes to ensure materials meet required standards and specifications.
  • Implement and oversee safety procedures to ensure the plant operates within environmental and health and safety regulations.
  • Optimize plant efficiency through the monitoring and management of energy, raw materials, and labor.
  • Coordinate with project teams to understand concrete requirements and ensure seamless production and delivery.

Machinery Management:
  • Manage all construction-related machinery and equipment, including cranes, excavators, loaders, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Develop and oversee maintenance schedules to prevent downtime and ensure all machinery operates at peak performance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to procure machinery parts and accessories, ensuring that all equipment complies with industry regulations.
  • Supervise and manage a team of operators, mechanics, and technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Monitor the condition of equipment and recommend replacements or upgrades as necessary.
