[Remote] AI Healthcare - Lead Data Analyst

This role combines business analysis with advanced analytics and emerging technologies to enable predictive and prescriptive decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities Utilize Epic EHR data sources (Clarity, Caboodle, and related reporting environments) to build scalable analytics and AI-ready datasets that support clinical quality improvement, operational performance, and population health initiatives Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and align analytics solutions with business objectives Perform advanced analytics, including statistical modeling, forecasting, and AI-driven insights Leverage Databricks AI and Databricks Agent to automate workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making Develop Power BI dashboards and visualizations that communicate complex insights clearly and effectively Collaborate with engineering and data platform teams to ensure proper data access and governance Identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies for improved business outcomes Skills Education Degree(s) in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, technology or related field experience Experience Five (5) years of relevant technical or business work experience or knowledge in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical field, with a proven ability to deliver insights that influence strategic decision-making Experience analyzing Epic healthcare data models and reporting environments, with the ability to translate clinical and operational data into actionable insights Strong experience in data analytics and business analysis Hands-on expertise with Databricks, including Databricks Agent and AI/ML capabilities Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and advanced analytics Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and actionable insights Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience applying them to real-world problems will be required Experience with cloud-based Azure data platform Familiarity with enterprise data governance and security practices Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off Tuition support Matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period Company Overview Mercy is a U.S. health system that provides heart, children’s, and orthopedic care services.
