Job Title Remote CAD Design Lead (100% Work From Home) Location Remote from Latin America Position Type Full-time Salary $2,500 USD/month Job Overview Our client is looking for a highly motivated individual to join their growing team of professionals. They seek a team player who thrives in workplace collaboration, has excellent communication skills, exudes emotional intelligence, and has strong critical thinking and time management capabilities. Responsibilities Perform basic analysis, design calculations, and independent drafting of project elements Review plans and figures for technical accuracy, consistency, and drafting standard compliance. Review mathematical calculations of others and organize calculations to be included in the design file, following project standards and as assigned. Perform Quantity Take-offs for construction estimating, generating tabular reports describing project pay items. Work independently at the requests of project managers, balancing work requests, and providing timely feedback on priority work requests. Supply time estimates to project managers, and work within given budgets. Accurately log all project time. Using MicroStation and AutoCAD, produce detailed, high-quality design drawings of roadways, sanitary sewer lines, storm drains, stormwater retention/detention facilities, waterlines, and site grading. Participate in the project Quality Review process, making requested revisions. Create and maintain company CAD drafting standards for civil and environmental projects Develop and maintain a company CAD learning curriculum and company how-to materials Provide one-on-one CAD training and support for staff scientists and engineers Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all project deliverables. Self-motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills Candidates should present as available and approachable in an all-remote role Ability to read and interpret technical design plans for construction projects, particularly relating to civil, site, and utility elements. Strong understanding and interpretation of ground survey and utility data. Ability to deliver a wide variety of project scopes on time and budget Team skills ability to teach drafting and other technical software remotely, with clear communication of techniques and expectations. Time management project drafting tasks must be completed efficiently and time logged accurately. Autodesk Certification is a plus Autodesk Civil3D process ground survey and lidar data, create existing and proposed surfaces for roadway and site improvement projects. Create pipe networks for various utilities. Generate plan and profile sheets. Maintain catalog of materials, and templates. Bentley CivilStorm or StormCAD develop hydraulic models of site and roadway drainage systems, as well as design of stormwater detention MS Office program experience, especially Word, Excel, Outlook Bluebeam Revu advanced features for markup and tracking QC processes ArcGIS, Hydrology Studio, HEC-RAS, Hy-8, and other industry-standard software are considered a plus.
