Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Remote Freelance Jewelry Designer (CAD / MatrixGold Specialist) to collaborate with our global clients in the fine jewelry, luxury, and custom design segments. This role is ideal for a passionate designer who can translate creative concepts into precise, production-ready 3D jewelry models. Working remotely, you will partner with merchandisers, manufacturers, and brand teams to deliver innovative, high-quality designs that meet both aesthetic and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality jewelry concepts using CAD software, with strong expertise in MatrixGold.

  • Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and renderings for rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and bespoke pieces.

  • Interpret design briefs, sketches, and mood boards into accurate CAD files suitable for prototyping and manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with product development, sourcing, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with brand standards.

  • Modify and refine designs based on feedback from clients, manufacturers, or internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure all designs meet gemstone setting, metal weight, and structural integrity requirements.

  • Maintain organized design files, version control, and documentation.

  • Stay updated on jewelry trends, materials, and CAD advancements to continuously improve design output.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in MatrixGold (mandatory) and Rhino or similar jewelry CAD tools.

  • Excellent understanding of jewelry construction, gemstone settings, and manufacturing processes (casting, finishing, setting).

  • Ability to produce precise, production-ready CAD files with attention to detail.

  • Strong aesthetic sense with a balance of creativity and technical accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, freelance environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with international clients and teams.

  • Familiarity with rendering tools for realistic jewelry visualization is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience as a Jewelry CAD Designer.

  • Proven portfolio demonstrating expertise in MatrixGold and custom or fine jewelry design.

  • Experience working with global brands, manufacturers, or custom jewelry houses is preferred.

  • Freelance or remote work experience is a plus.
