Remote Global Logistics Coordinator

About the Role Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing international freight forwarding company, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Global Logistics Coordinator to join their virtual operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end coordination of international shipments, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of goods across borders. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of global shipping regulations and documentation. You will be a key player in facilitating seamless international trade for our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage all aspects of international freight shipments, including air, ocean, and land transportation. Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices. Track shipments in real-time and provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Liaise with customs brokers, carriers, and overseas agents to resolve any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure compliance with all international shipping regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements. Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness. Manage client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout the shipping process. Maintain accurate records of all shipments and associated documentation in the company's logistics management system. Proactively identify and resolve potential delays or complications in the shipping process. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Business, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience in international logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or a similar role. In-depth knowledge of international shipping terms, Incoterms, and customs procedures. Proficiency in using logistics management software and online tracking systems. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment and maintaining high productivity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with customs brokerage is a plus.
