Remote Kubernetes Operator – Cloud Infrastructure

Job Summary

MNC Jobs Info is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Kubernetes Operator – Cloud Infrastructure to manage, automate, and scale our Kubernetes clusters and ensure high availability of our cloud-based systems. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in driving the stability, performance, and reliability of our containerized applications and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters (on-premise or cloud).

  • Automate cluster provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and upgrades using tools such as Helm, Kustomize, and GitOps practices.

  • Develop and maintain Kubernetes Operators for custom applications.

  • Monitor cluster health, usage, and performance metrics using Prometheus, Grafana, and similar tools.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and security teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack – hardware, software, application, and network.

  • Maintain security standards, implement RBAC policies, and manage secrets across environments.

  • Stay updated with the latest Kubernetes and cloud ecosystem trends and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters at scale in production environments.

  • Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or Go.

  • Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Familiarity with tools such as Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Argo CD, and GitLab CI/CD.

  • Understanding of networking concepts, service meshes (e.g., Istio), and observability tools.

  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker.

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes CRDs, Operators, and admission controllers.

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure roles.

  • At least 1+ year of direct experience managing Kubernetes environments.

  • Experience working in agile, DevOps-oriented teams.

Working Hours

  • Flexible remote working hours, with availability during key collaboration times (overlap with IST or GMT preferred).

  • 40 hours per week, full-time engagement.
