Houston Skilled Consultancy is hiring an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a prestigious luxury cruise line. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a high-end dining experience aboard a world-class vessel, sailing across international waters. You will oversee daily restaurant operations, deliver impeccable guest service, and ensure premium fine dining standards are maintained. Ideal candidates will bring strong leadership, attention to detail, and experience in upscale restaurants or hospitality establishments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ships main and specialty restaurants

  • Supervise and train restaurant staff, ensuring high performance and compliance with service standards

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation

  • Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to ensure timely and seamless meal service

  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control for restaurant supplies

  • Ensure all health, hygiene, and safety regulations are strictly followed

  • Prepare shift schedules, staff evaluations, and performance reports

  • Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, kitchen, front desk) to ensure smooth operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Customer-focused approach with problem-solving capabilities

  • Knowledge of restaurant POS systems and cruise line protocols

  • Strong understanding of fine dining service etiquette and menu planning

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager in a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting

  • Prior experience on a cruise ship or in international hospitality environments will be highly advantageous

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time, contract-based position on board with a rotational shift schedule

  • Average of 10 hours per day, 6 days a week, with periodic breaks during non-peak sailing periods

  • Deep understanding of international hospitality standards and guest service etiquette

  • Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills

  • Ability to multitask and manage high-pressure environments with grace
