Sales Development Representative I

Job Description Summary:

  • As a member of a sales team, the sales development rep is responsible for finding net-new business. Daily tasks will involve call cycling, prospecting and lead generation with the small and medium market. Ability to achieve company and personal sales goals while executing market strategies by engaging customers and developing value propositions that meet their needs.

 Essential Functions:

  • Targets new business opportunities by identifying potential new customers, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing the customer’s supply chain with decision makers and other appropriate customer representatives, analyzing customer needs.
  • Utilizes Suggested Calls and other data-driven reporting to identify customer growth opportunities via call cycling.
  • Maintains regular and consistent communication with manager and peers within the Sales organization, related to joint sales call opportunities, etc. in support of new/incremental revenue.
  • Maintains healthy pipeline of new leads, completes successful calls to those leads and works to schedule opportunity handoff calls.
  • Collaborates with sales peers, marketing, finance, operations, and other areas as appropriate in identifying issues and developing/implementing solutions to support growth of revenue.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Minimum Experience:

  • To be considered for this position you must meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree OR six (6) months of FedEx commercial customer-facing experience OR one (1) year of business-to-business sales experience (Sales specific accredited certification program equivalent).

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $15.83 - $29.25

Additional Details: Hybrid – In office Monday – Thursday, Remote work Friday
