Salon Receptionist – Customer Service & Appointment Scheduling – Beauty Industry Role

Job Summary:

Progressive Technology is seeking a friendly, organized, and client-focused Salon Receptionist to join our growing beauty and wellness team. As the first point of contact for clients, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming salon atmosphere. You will manage front-desk responsibilities, including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, handling calls, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys customer interaction and thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients warmly as they arrive and ensure they feel welcomed and comfortable.

  • Manage appointment bookings via phone, online systems, and walk-ins.

  • Maintain and update client records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner.

  • Handle front-desk operations, including managing the POS system, processing payments, and issuing receipts.

  • Coordinate daily schedules for stylists and other salon staff.

  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception and waiting area.

  • Assist in promoting salon services, packages, and retail products to clients.

  • Support salon team with administrative and clerical duties as needed.

  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints with grace and professionalism.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; diploma in administration or hospitality is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and appointment scheduling software.

Working Hours:

  • Full-Time / Part-Time Available

  • Shift Options: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Flexible shifts including weekends)

  • Typical working hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 6 days a week

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of beauty and salon services is a plus.

  • Familiarity with appointment booking platforms such as Fresha, MindBody, or similar tools.

  • Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion.

  • Basic sales skills to recommend products or services.
