We believe that we can make big changes happen and improve the daily lives of millions of people by bringing quality software to the federal space. </p> <p>We're looking for a <strong>Security Analyst</strong> to join our VA.gov Platform team, helping build and improve the identity and access management solutions that keep Veteran-facing digital products secure and compliant.</p> <p><strong>What you'll be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with engineers and security SMEs to design, improve, and implement <strong>Identity and Access Management (IAM)</strong> solutions for VA.gov products</li> <li>Analyze security metrics and access management trends to inform how the program approaches security architecture</li> <li>Develop and document requirements for IAM solutions including identity lifecycle, role management, separation of duties, and access workflows</li> <li>Build and maintain logging and monitoring solutions using <strong>Splunk</strong>, <strong>Loki</strong>, and/or <strong>AWS CloudWatch</strong></li> <li>Develop use cases and test cases, and participate in <strong>SIT/UAT</strong> testing</li> <li>Operate as a domain expert — teams will lean on you for both functional and technical guidance on security and IAM</li> <li>Support the Security Collab Cycle, ensuring teams building products and features on VA.gov are doing so in alignment with Platform security standards and best practices</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ years of engineering experience with the majority focused on cybersecurity</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>IAM</strong> concepts including identity lifecycle, roles, SOD, and access management</li> <li>Experience building logging and monitoring solutions with <strong>Splunk</strong>, <strong>Loki</strong>, or <strong>AWS CloudWatch</strong></li> <li>Strong background in requirements definition and prior implementation experience</li> <li>Development or engineering background is strongly preferred</li> <li>Experience with federal security frameworks and government environments is a plus</li> <li>Thrives in a remote, collaborative <strong>Agile</strong> environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams</li> <li>Communicates clearly and openly, whether advising leadership or working through a complex access management problem with an engineer</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
