Senior Business Systems Engineer – SuccessFactors BTP CPI

Job Description:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing business systems and applications that enable operational efficiency and business impact.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions, while contributing to capability roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner closely with operational teams to establish best practices, enhance system observability, and promote sustainable engineering standards.
  • Support team collaboration and provides coaching and mentoring to junior engineers to strengthen technical capability and drive excellence across the team.
  • Design, configure and/or develop, deploy, optimize, monitor and improve systems and business applications.
  • Clearly demonstrates understanding of the implications of their usage on the business.
  • Contribute to capability roadmaps and conducting technology research for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Documenting debt and waste.
  • Develop sustainable feedback loops for continuous improvement.
  • Set standards for operating procedures and advises on best practices for engineers.
  • Regularly evaluates current business processes, applications, systems, and identifies potential improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of functional and technical experience with organizational hierarchy and foundational HCM data across core SAP systems including SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and ERP Central Component (ECC)
  • 3+ years of functional and technical proficiency using Business Technology Platform - Cloud Platform Integration (BTP CPI) to seamlessly connect SAP and non-SAP systems, applications, and data sources across both cloud and on-premise environments
  • 3+ years of functional and technical proficiency using Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) to develop, customize, and extend applications within the SAP ecosystem, such as SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Proficient ability to design, develop, test, and deploy applications/ systems using proven technologies within variety of technologies and environments.
  • Knowledge of various programming languages and techniques.
  • Experience with the application and a willingness to bring forward ideas and methodologies to mature quality engineering principles
  • Proficient troubleshooting (within multiple systems) and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Embeds data analytics capabilities and understanding of key business data models.
