Learn more at Viant Medical’s website or on LinkedIn.</p> <p><strong>About the sites:</strong></p> <p>This role will provide remote support to two different Viant facilities located in the US:</p> <p><strong>Elkhorn, WI: </strong>Our Elkhorn facility supports medical device assembly and packaging operations, delivering high-quality, scalable manufacturing solutions within a regulated production environment.</p> <p><strong>Upland, CA: </strong>Our Upland facility specializes in advanced injection molding and clean room assembly, supporting high-precision medical device manufacturing and scalable production solutions.</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p>The Senior Buyer supports the strategic and tactical procurement of goods and services for Viant Medical. As Senior Buyer will be involved in management of key suppliers and supply relationships, supports implementation of Viant global supply programs, and will support the continuous development of Procurement processes. The Senior Buyer role may be customer facing and can work in cooperation with our customers on complex supplier programs, including price and supply negotiations. Also, the Senior Buyer will mentor other Procurement team members. Clear communication will be a hallmark of the Senior Buyer role both to suppliers, Viant team members, and Customers.</p> <p><strong>Work model: This will be a remote role from Costa Rica to support Upland, CA and Elkhorn, WI facilities. </strong></p> <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participate in the development and implementation of department goals, objectives, policies and priorities.</li> <li>Active participation in Inventory strategy definition to achieve Inventory DOH goal.</li> <li>Participate in and generate VIP initiatives.</li> <li>Provide technical training and support to Buyers</li> <li>Lead multi-functional teams with personnel from different departments.</li> <li>Identify and participate in the resolution of issues by employing strong analytical and planning skills.</li> <li>Support product launch manager on project teams as required.</li> <li>Monitor Inventory levels. Identify gaps and drive solutions.</li> <li>Maintain Procurement Metrics according to plan.</li> <li>Track Suppliers performance.</li> <li>Identify gaps and drive solutions with Supplier and Viant Supplier Quality representative.</li> <li>Coordinate and lead Supplier Change Requests</li> <li>Follows all GMP and SOP’s as defined by Viant Medical policies, practices and procedures to ensure that FDA and ISO regulations and quality standards are met</li> <li>Responsible for purchasing the best quality raw materials, components and production supplies at the lowest cost, according to established policies, practices and procedures, and ensuring delivery in a timely manner to support production schedules</li> <li>Maintains assigned raw materials, components and supplies at required inventory levels</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring purchases meet quality and quantity requirements according to specifications, reporting discrepancies to the Operations team and, resolving discrepancies with suppliers</li> <li>Processes, reviews and confirms all requisitions for assigned raw material, indirect products, or services are converted into POs through the ERP system</li> <li>Ensures material is scheduled and delivered to meet the Master Schedule in accordance with Purchasing policies and procedures.</li> <li>Handle all direct negotiations with suppliers regarding any material claims.</li> <li>Maintain electronic customer base.
