Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support junior care assistants in delivering daily personal care and hygiene services to clients.

  • Administer medications and monitor the health and well-being of clients in accordance with care plans and healthcare protocols.

  • Maintain detailed care records, incident reports, and progress notes for clients.

  • Assist clients with mobility, feeding, dressing, toileting, and companionship needs.

  • Coordinate with nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure holistic and personalized care delivery.

  • Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.

  • Provide emotional support to residents and foster a respectful and dignified care environment.

  • Respond to emergencies and implement basic first aid or life-saving interventions as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred).

  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Proven leadership abilities in a caregiving or nursing setting.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.

  • A strong sense of empathy, patience, and respect for the elderly.

  • Eligibility for U.S. visa sponsorship (support provided by GracePath Healthcare).

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a senior care, nursing home, or healthcare support role.

  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring junior care staff is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with dementia or patients with complex care needs is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week)

  • Flexible shifts available, including morning, evening, weekend, and overnight coverage.

  • Overtime and holiday shifts may be required based on patient care needs.

  • Knowledge of elderly care best practices, including infection control and safeguarding.

  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
