Key Responsibilities Manage the certification process for new UAS products, from initial application to final approval. Interpret and apply relevant aviation regulations (e.g., FAA Part 21, Part 107, EASA CS-23/UAS) to product development. Prepare and submit comprehensive certification documentation packages to regulatory authorities. Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., FAA, EASA) to address queries, facilitate reviews, and ensure smooth progress of certification activities. Coordinate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to gather necessary data and evidence for certification. Develop and implement strategies to achieve timely and cost-effective certification of products. Monitor changes in aviation regulations and standards, assessing their impact on current and future products. Maintain accurate records of all certification activities and correspondence. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on regulatory compliance and certification requirements. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related technical field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation certification, regulatory affairs, or compliance engineering. In-depth knowledge of FAA and EASA certification processes and requirements for aircraft or UAS. Proven experience in preparing and submitting certification documentation. Strong understanding of aircraft systems, airworthiness principles, and safety standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with regulatory authorities.
