What this job involves: This position will be responsible for Data Governance initiatives such as metadata management and performing analysis on Capital Markets data in order to propose quality rules and data standards that will improve overall Data Quality within the Capital Markets business. This role will work with business owners to define the needs. This is a business and data analyst role that requires the ability to quickly understand and explore various data models, evaluate, and document business processes, and communicate findings and recommendations with leadership.

This role will also be responsible for providing detailed analysis and recommendations for data governance program enhancements to JLLT teams that support the business communities. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Data Governance of the CDO’s organization in JLLT.

What your day-to-day will look like: Interface with data platform owners, business line liaisons, data governance experts, and SME’s to document the current scope of activities, desired future state, and help develop the strategic roadmap to achieve those ambitions. Guide the data ownership teams to establish data governance on each service line. Propose data quality rules, profile the data, analyze current data quality results, and compare to business requirements to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities.

Review existing data standards at various levels of the organization. Assist in classifying these standards, defining, and recording relevant attributes, and documenting the data standards landscape. Partner with Capital Markets product and engineering teams in the kickoff and management of various data ownership governing bodies.

Develop business requirements documents for business needs and proposed enhancements to Data Governance components. Drive awareness and adoption of a data sharing culture. Partner with Enterprise Data Governance peers to provide training and education documents relating to data quality, data standards, and data stewardship.

Responsible for documentation of business process and standard operating procedures for data life-cycle governance and stewardship activities.

Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and 6+ years of professional business experience with a track record of accomplishments in data related fields, such as Enterprise Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, or Data Management. Demonstrating knowledge of data governance principles and industry best practices. Understanding of core concepts involved in data (data quality, usage) and ability to understand how these concepts impact our business.

Working collaboratively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment with multiple competing priorities which requires self-motivation, discipline, organization, and attention to detail. Strong project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects. Understanding of Commercial Real Estate and Property Management industry (e.g., the business).

Experience in dealing with internal and external customers, and service providers. Must be able to manage competing priorities. Needs to be resilient; resolving conflicts quickly to achieve desired business results.
