In this role, you will provide high-level expertise in database design, optimization, performance tuning, and security for enterprise-level systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database management systems (DBMS), a strong background in infrastructure, and a proven track record of managing large, complex data environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to apply their technical leadership and strategic thinking in a mission-driven environment. What You Will Do • Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. • Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. • Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. • Maintains security and integrity controls. • Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. • May develop stored procedures and/or triggers. • Perform tasks in support of computer database administration architects, designs, oversee the development of, or administers computerized databases, installs the applicable databases onto the appropriate computer operating systems, creates databases, configure databases (for a data warehousing application), use import utilities to install databases. Includes creation of Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, Views, and other database objects, as well as, management of Rollback Segments, Data File Size, and all the other aspects related to the performance tuning of databases. • Write code for update queries, update data dictionaries as new fields are added to the database, and maintain a data correction log. • Create and maintain data correction logs that identify the date the correction that was performed, tables and fields effected, submission effected, error code effected, and other pertinent metadata. • Expand and update the data dictionary for the database and any related applications. What You Must Have • 41+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 39+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 44+ years relevant experience. • Candidate must have extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks. • Candidate must have experience in providing consultation on complex tasks. • Candidate must have experience leading and directing the work of others. • Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, work independently and clearly present technical approaches and find
