The Boeing Company is currently seeking a high performing versatile Senior IT Product Management Specialist to join their team at our Seattle, WA location. This position will focus on supporting the area of BT&E Flight Test within Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) Engineering. 

This team provides comprehensive software solutions for maintaining and improving Flight Test tools and developing Enterprise-wide solutions. The candidate will play an active role in facilitating transition from current state to future state of IT tools supporting digital transformation.

A successful product management specialist performs activities to identify and pursue market opportunities for Information Technology products. Leads customer engagements and analyzes customer, competitor and market data to develop IT product strategy, concepts and capabilities. Develops business case and product plans. Oversees creation of business and functional requirements and product roadmaps. Works with other IT professionals to ensure requirements are met. Obtains funding and approval to develop products. Develops plans for entry of IT products in external market. Supports product demonstrations, value propositions and represents/promotes IT products internally and externally. Adjusts product capabilities and strategy to meet financial targets.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with stakeholders and peers leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving for complex solutions

  • Create and maintain integrated IT Product Roadmap and recommending solutions that will maximize the value delivered to enterprise level stakeholders

  • Creates and maintains IT product business case. Applies business analysis best practices to enable realization of business value, cost avoidance, understanding of capabilities, and consistency across the enterprise business architecture

  • Manages defined requirements backlog and solution scope to maintain consensus among stakeholders.  Maintains traceability of requirements from origination to implementation. Responsible and accountable for risk management

  • Performs analysis to refine and clarify identified business concepts and defines a solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the business.  Provides recommendations based on current business architecture, gap analysis, feasibility studies, and defined solution scope. Understands IT Product components and dependencies

  • Demonstrates product health by providing updates around product performance as required for business analysis activities and programs

  • Guides product delivery to meet business needs and maintain security standards. Plans and coordinates system changes across several applications

  • Serves as subject matter expert to larger organization Product Management and/or Program Management best practices to support the life cycle management of development efforts

  • Regularly contributes to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):          

  • 5+ years of experience in project and/or program management as related to product development

  • 3+ year Experience with Agile Software Development Lifecycle

  • 3+ years of experience coordinating across multiple functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 3+ years experience in financial analysis

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams within the US and internationally

  • PMP Certification(s)

  • Experience organizing, planning, collaborating, delegating, negotiating and coordinating with stakeholders and development teams

  • Practical knowledge and understanding of Project Management and Program Management best practices

Summary pay range: $138,550 - $187,450
