Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity

Our Rakaia store is in the look for a Senior Sales specialist. You will be the face of Fonterra Farm Source in the community and a trusted source of advice, for our customers. Your role will be crucial in delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, and maintaining strong relationships within the community. Your dedication and expertise will contribute significantly to the achievement of our business targets.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Deliver high levels of customer service and experience.
  • Compel and persuade towards Fonterra Farm Source’s solutions.
  • Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with the wider Fonterra Farm Source team for the benefit of our farmers.
  • Possess and put into practice a general knowledge of our product range (including features, usage and benefits) and service offering. With in-depth knowledge in at least one category.
  • Understand the seasonal operations of farming and how these impact on the farmer’s business and on our business
  • Ensure high visual merchandising standards are maintained and that stock is grouped, displayed, and priced correctly in accordance with the company guidelines.
  • Order stock for allocated product categories to meet seasonal demand and to comply with inventory level expectations.
  • Demonstrate purchasing/sales planning to meet budget.
  • Process all incoming stock accurately, and ensure it is ready for shelving as early as possible.

Mōu | About You

To be successful in this role you will possess a strong knowledge of the Farm Source store network and product range. You will need to a self starter with relevant sales knowledge. Coupled with your technical expertise, you will have the ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and enjoy working as part of a team

Other success enablers include;

  • Experience in a sales role - Minimum of two years
  • Customer service experience
  • Proven organisational abilities and the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Retail experience would be advantageous
  • Physical capability to safely perform manual handling of products, store fixture and display merchandising, and other physical requirements of the role
