We're an AI-native team using tools like Claude Code extensively, and we expect this person to push that boundary further.

What You'll Do

Design and build agent-driven experiences for financial audit workflows, deciding where autonomy makes sense and where the auditor stays in the loop

Own complex, end-to-end workstreams tied to onboarding our largest customers

Ship code from day one and ramp quickly into full ownership of significant product areas

Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and financial audit SMEs to work through hard domain problems

Help shape technical direction and contribute to how the team thinks about agentic systems, AI tooling, and engineering best practices

Mentor other engineers and contribute to our interview process as the team scales

Who You Are

A strong full-stack engineer who writes code every day and wants to keep doing that

Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where you figure things out as you go

High degree of ownership; you don't wait to be told what to do

Curious about AI and agentic systems, and already using AI coding tools in your workflow

Able to pick up complex domain concepts quickly. You don't need to know financial auditing, but you're the kind of person who can internalize it fast

Collaborative by nature, you want to be in the room with product, design, and domain experts working through hard problems together

Experienced leading projects and driving technical decisions with a bias toward action

Bonus Points

Experience in financial services, audit, accounting, or compliance

Prior work building AI or agent-driven product experiences

Familiarity with our stack: TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, PostgreSQL

Background working at high-growth startups where you wore a lot of hats

Experience with document processing or infrastructure work

More about Fieldguide

Fieldguide is a values-based company.
