SEO / GEO Search Specialist, AI & Answer Engine Optimization

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies across technical, on-page, and content optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility in both traditional SERPs and AI-driven answer environments.
  • Conduct keyword research aligned to evolving search behavior (including conversational and intent-based queries).
  • Optimize content for AI-powered search experiences (Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, etc.).
  • Structure content for featured snippets, entity recognition, and semantic relevance.
  • Partner with internal teams and clients to align outputs with answer-based discovery models.
  • Build and/or utilize AI agents and tools to streamline:
  • Keyword research and clustering
  • SEO audits and issue identification
  • Reporting and performance analysis
  • Develop scalable workflows that improve efficiency and consistency across accounts
  • Perform site audits, identify technical issues, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Work with developers to implement fixes related to indexing, crawling, site speed, and structured data
  • Create clear, actionable reporting that ties SEO performance to business outcomes
  • Translate complex SEO and AI trends into client-friendly insights and recommendations

Requirements:

  • 4–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or custom agents) for SEO workflows
  • Familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) or optimizing for AI-driven search experiences
  • Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console)
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance reporting (GA4, Looker, etc.)
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights for internal teams and clients.
  • Experience working with pharma or healthcare clients (preferred)
  • Understanding of regulatory considerations (MLR environments, compliance constraints) (preferred)
  • Experience collaborating with paid media teams on integrated search strategies (preferred)
  • Knowledge of structured data/schema and entity-based SEO (preferred)
