Shipping and Receiving Manager - Now Hiring

This is not your typical Shipping and Receiving role! You have 3+ years of applicable work experience, preferably in a repair facility or manufacturing industry. You are a quick and independent thinker, helpful, and able to multi-task in a busy environment under stress and deadlines. Attention to detail, excellent documentation and organizational skills are your thing. As the right candidate you work well with others and are a team player. 

Essential Responsibilities (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations, including the confirmation and documentation of incoming shipments, preparation of outgoing items, and truck loading/unloading.
  • Manage a team of 2-4 other S&R associates to ensure that daily departmental operations are meeting organizational goals and targets.
  • Actively manage stockroom to support FAA-145 repair station operations, including periodic audits and database maintenance as needed. 
  • Manage shop inventory and work orders via Quantum Control ERP system. 
  • Leverage Quantum Control experience to work with management and IT to better refine our policies and procedures for shop workflow and stock operations. 
  • Manage and perform production support tasks to increase efficiency of the organization. 
  • Answer to Quality Manager in all areas associated with Shipping and Receiving, Stockroom functions, and related duties. 
  • Work collaboratively with shop and purchasing department to ensure timely support of all shop operations and orders. 
  • Work proactively with the purchasing department to ensure adequate stock is on hand and to minimize production delays. 
  • Help to manage shelf-life program and ensure that all shelf-life materials are properly logged into the system, properly marked, tracked, and disposed of when necessary. 
  • Manage incoming and outgoing orders (purchase, repair, work and sales orders) and maintain rotatable components in stock system. 
  • Work with shop and purchasing personnel to process part outs of LRUs and induction into Quantum.
  • Manage parts lists on ILS through Quantum and directly. Process all incoming and outgoing shipments. 
  • Facilitate and manage the neat and organized upkeep of the S&R areas as well as company storage and stock areas. Assist in all levels of organizing, cleaning, and upkeep as necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned by company management.


  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, as well as a basic background check
  • 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving or logistics management, preferably in an aviation or regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with FAA-145 repair station operations and aviation part handling requirements (or similar heavily regulated industry) is required
  • Strong time management, independent thinking, and ability to meet deadlines are essential
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Software experience – MSFT Office proficiency, especially with Excel or SharePoint and Teams
  • Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software is required and experience in Quantum or similar ERP system is a plus.
  • Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs without difficulty

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

Compensation

  • Hourly position commensurate with experience and skill level and/or certifications. ($33 - $38)
