The Successful Candidate Will Engage Collaboratively Across The Company To Work With Architects And Engineers In Core HW Design & Verification, SW, Marketing, And Product Planning Teams, To<br><br><ul><li>Engineer market-leading SoC products with best-in-class performance</li><li>Lead and conduct performance and systems studies</li><li>Conduct or contribute to analysis to define our SOC architecture plans simultaneously taking into account performance, power and thermal</li><li>Collaborate with HW and SW teams to define best-in-class multimedia, modem, compute and memory technologies</li><li>Define complex use cases including new workloads (Gaming, AI) and infer systems requirements</li><li>Deploy simulators, profilers, or hardware to understand performance bottlenecks and provide quantitative justification for architectural changes or tuning</li><li>Directly apply computer architecture knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, cache coherency, virtual memory, etc.</li><li>Effectively communicate and experimental results with technical leads and peers</li><li>Creatively overcome obstacles to obtain the answers to architectural questions</li><li>Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>MS or PHD degree</li><li>1+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li><li>Industry experience required in one or more of the following areas:</li><ul><li>Computer Architecture concepts, such as CPU, GPU, DSP, interconnects, shared memory, etc.</li><li>System or chipset development for SoC products, preferably in the mobile market</li><li>OS principles and HW/SW interaction</li><li>SoC bus, interconnect, memory technologies, memory controllers, scheduling, MMUs</li><li>Hands-on experience in using and modifying simulators and performance/power models, especially full-system models</li><li>SystemC and event driven simulators</li><li>Using code and/or system profiling tools</li><li>C/C++ programming</li><li>VLSI design and verification</li><li>Pragmatic scripting & automation skills</li><li>Familiarity with ARM, Linux</li><li>Familiarity with multimedia or communication technologies including audio codec, video codec, camera, WLAN, LTE and 5G<br><br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>Applicants</strong>: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
