Purpose of Role - Provide quality and performant data modeling and visualizations solutions to our cross functional business units which represent the mantra, “Business First; Technology Second.” - As part of a results-oriented team, participate in the design, implementation, maintenance and support of our modernized data platform to enable the business to make better, more informed decisions. - Work closely with Enterprise Data Analysts, Data Platform Engineers, Data Governance Team within Enterprise Data. Management Organization to help define, develop and implement solutions and provide services for the enterprise applications. - Model, design, develop, test and implement the appropriate backend and front-end structures needed to meet business visualization and reporting requirements. - Leverage industry-leading integration and analytics tools to build a modern data warehouse that is accurate, reliable, high performing and easily accessible to our business departments. - Build dashboard to follow wireframes designs, integrate with backend data models. Build aggregate data models. Manage the data flow to reflect in dashboards to meet business requirements. - Data formatting and processing to build the foundation layer for dashboards and self-service reporting. Work on data transformation, using the ETL tools. Build dimension views and fact tables. - Interact with the client business community to gather/develop functional and technical requirements and translate them into reporting solutions. - Responsible for the full life cycle of development, from requirements gathering through data transformation coding and report/dashboard design and creation. - Follow development standards in accordance with UA best practices. - Work with Enterprise Data Analysts team to clarify functional requirements and create the TSD's. - Data formatting and processing to build the foundation layer for dashboards and self-service reporting. - Troubleshoot data anomalies with engineering teams. - Work on data transformation, using the ETL tools. Build dimension views and fact tables. - Responsible for daily support of the data warehouse and associated data marts. - Coordinate with Data Platform Engineering team, Enterprise Data Analyst Team, Data Governance Team, and IT. Teams to align with change management processes and to ensure performance, processes and access is optimal for our global reporting solutions. - Work collaboratively to align business requirements with reporting and analytical solutions. - Improve processes regarding data flow and quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value. - Document development for peer reference and knowledge transfer. - Interact with the client business community to gather/develop functional and technical requirements and translate them into visualization solutions. - Educate and empower the business community towards self-serve reporting model. - Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field. Followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a Software Engineering role (e.g. Project Lead, Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, etc.). - 2 years of experience developing and supporting the SAP HANA, Business Objects, and SAC platform stack to ensure performance, process, access is optimal for the global reporting solution. - 2 years of experience in Technical design of Data Modelling for SAC Analytics to Support the ongoing Business requirements formulation process for Enterprise Business Analytics operations. - 3 years of experience in design and development of analytical queries, reports and visualizations utilizing the Tableau Platform. - 2 years of Experience with dbt as a data orchestration tool. - 2 years of experience working in CICD framework. - 2 years of experience with Snowflake VWH and data modeling. - Demonstrated knowledge* of:- HVR replication for data ingestion. - Python and Java programming. - Fundamental data architecture and design. - SQL and strong data transformation. *Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience Workplace Location - Location: Up to 100% Remote; position may be performed from anywhere in the US + Up to 10% domestic and international travel Sponsorship Eligibility: (US ONLY) UA does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based work authorization for this position at this time. Relocation - No relocation provided Base Compensation $165,564.00 to $188,089.20 per year Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
