About This Role:

The Senior Marketing Manager, Global Events will partner closely with the events leadership, marketing, and research teams to develop, execute, and optimize integrated marketing systems and event marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, sponsorships, and attendance for Forrester’s global commercial events portfolio.

This role is ideal for an experienced event marketer who combines strategic thinking with strong and collaborative execution, thrives in cross‑functional environments, and is passionate about building demand through events. The Senior Marketing Manager will drive marketing strategy and delivery for a portfolio of events, while contributing to the evolution of Forrester’s broader events marketing approach.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute data‑driven marketing strategies for a portfolio of global events, aligned to business objectives and audience segments.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify opportunities and inform campaign strategy and messaging.
  • Partner with audience development and sales teams to clarify event goals, target audiences, and value propositions.
  • Work closely with audience development and business operations to forecast, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs); regularly report results and recommend optimizations.
  • Partner closely with the vice president, global events to support and extend Forrester’s events brand architecture and positioning.

Marketing Program Development & Orchestration:

  • Lead the design and execution of integrated, multi‑channel marketing campaigns, including:
    • Digital marketing: Email (nurture and promotional), paid and organic social, digital, and programmatic media.
    • Content marketing: Partner with research, programming, brand, web, and content marketing teams to elevate event messaging through landing pages, blogs, scripts, etc.
    • Partnerships & PR: Collaborate with PR and Communications to support media outreach, industry partnerships, and event announcements.
  • Ensure high‑quality execution across all channels, from campaign brief through post‑event analysis.
  • Work closely with creative and design teams to build a self-service system and ensure all materials are on‑brand, compelling, and audience‑relevant.

Audience Engagement & Growth:

  • Implement and optimize strategies to grow and engage event audiences before, during, and after events.
  • Use CRM and marketing automation tools to personalize communications and improve conversion and retention.
  • Analyze audience behavior and performance trends to inform future event and marketing program planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as a primary marketing lead for commercial events, coordinating closely with stakeholders across sales, demand gen, research, programming, operations, and design.
  • Communicate program plans, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly and regularly.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of event marketing processes, tools, and best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in events or integrated marketing, with demonstrated success driving awareness and attendance for a global events portfolio.
  • Proven experience developing and executing multi‑channel digital marketing campaigns (email, social, SEM, display).
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills; comfortable managing multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience marketing to global and diverse audiences.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence across teams and levels.

Please note that the base salary range indicated here is inclusive of all applicable US geographies listed in this requisition. This salary range is based upon the position as described in the job listing. The offered compensation may vary within this range and is dependent upon the successful candidate’s primary work location, experience, training, education, and credentials.

Base salary range: $97,000 - $159,000
