Sr Medical Strategy Director

<p><b>Job Overview</b></p><p>The Senior Medical Director provides strategic medical and scientific subject matter experience and expertise to IQVIA in the <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">specialty/subspecialty</span> or therapeutic area for which they have first hand knowledge informed by training, experience and expertise. They gain greater independence over time for various activities that include but are not necessarily limited to early engagement of potential customers, proposal development in response to RFPs, participation in client proposal bid defense meetings, medical director and subject matter expertise as a consultant throughout the research and development lifecycle and the duration of clinical trials, and/or as an independent customer solution. They collaborate across the organization to ensure that all of IQVIA's resources are fully leveraged in opportunities. Participation in thought leadership activities is highly encouraged.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Functions</b></p><p>• Work independently of the therapeutic area head.</p><p>• Demonstrate independence in strategic proposal development in conjunction with other members of the proposal development team.</p><p>• Participate in client proposal bid defense meetings as a leader, medical director and subject matter expert.</p><p>• Act as consultant throughout the research and development life cycle and the duration of clinical trials; and/or as a standalone independent customer solution.</p><p>• Formulate clinical development plans and is responsible for the execution of the group strategy and leads the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence.</p><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>• Other Will have a terminal degree (MD, DO, PhD, Pharm D) and training in the relevant therapeutic area or the equivalent there of with at least three years of demonstrable experience and expertise in the relevant therapeutic area within the biopharmaceutical industry. Req</p><p>• Other Requires certification or the equivalent there of and practical knowledge in leading and managing execution of processes, projects and tactics within the research and development therapeutic area. Req</p><p>• Typically requires a minimum of ten years of prior relevant experience. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
