Student Nurse Externship All HCA Midwest Hospitals

As a Student Nurse Extern with HCA Healthcare at HCA Midwest hospitals, you will gain hands-on clinical experience while working alongside experienced nurses and interdisciplinary care teams in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. In this internship-style role, you will support direct patient care under RN supervision by assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining vital signs, helping with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and accurately documenting care in the electronic health record according to hospital policy. You will observe and participate in a variety of clinical procedures appropriate to your level of education, reinforcing the assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills you are developing in your nursing program.
