Tell us about how your keen sense of observation is one of your greatest strengths.<br><br>As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.<br><br><strong>What’s In It For You<br><br></strong><ul><li>Schedule: Availability to work mornings, evenings, and overnights. Days off could vary and weekends are required. This is a flex schedule. Hours are dependable on the site needs. Selected individual will be open to covering hours for site trainings and events, sometimes in an unarmed capacity. </li><li>The Flex Tactical Officer will work primarily as a armed Tactical Officer filling in schedule openings. Pay rate is starting at $31.79 for the armed Tactical Officer. </li><li>Competitive hourly wage of $31.79/ Hr (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)</li><li>A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO) policy, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance options (depending on the hours worked)</li><li>Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld</li><li>Uniform provided at no cost<br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities Of Tactical Security Guard<br><br></strong><ul><li>Maintain a commanding presence to deter potential threats (e.g., active shooters and workplace violence)</li><li>Trained to respond to active shooter situations, hostage scenarios, bomb threats, etc.</li><li>Serve as the initial point of contact for police, fire, and EMS during incidents.</li><li>Maintain excellent marksmanship and weapon handling and retention skills. Regular live-fire training and qualifications along with live drill tactical scenario training.</li><li>Must demonstrate proficiency in handgun operation, the ability to disassemble and reassemble a firearm</li><li>Must have Situational Awareness, High Integrity, Physical Fitness, and Excellent Communication</li><li>Excellent customer service is always your top priority.</li><li>Officers must be warm and approachable while staying vigilant—greeting and acknowledging visitors, customers, top clients, and executives, maintaining eye contact, and staying aware of all entrances and surroundings.</li><li>You observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.</li><li>You provide rapid response in critical situations.</li><li>You’re great with reading and writing detailed reports.</li><li>You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards.</li><li>Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity</li><li>Verify identities and control access to secure areas</li><li>React quickly to threats or incidents</li><li>Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras</li><li>Document incidents and actions taken</li><li>Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks</li><li>Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>At least 3 years of experience with customer service</li><li>At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite</li><li>3 or more years of US military (with honorable discharge) or US police officer experience is required.</li><li>2 or more years of verifiable armed DCJS experience required.</li><li>Ability to multitask and synthesize large amounts of information quickly</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Have an active Armed DCJS with handgun endorsement</li><li>Must be able to pass an extensive background check, online armed assessments, gun range assessment, drug and physical assessments, and various other trainings to be hired</li><li>Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office.</li><li>Must have soft skills and be able to manage various types of personalities.</li><li>Must consistently maintain an excellent uniform appearance.</li><li>Must be able to pass a physical fitness test consisting of running, push ups, sit ups, and step ups.</li><li>Must be able to pass baseline trainings, yearly refreshers, and psychological exams</li><li>First aid certification is an asset<br><br></li></ul>Per Contractual Agreements With Our Clients, Your Professional Background Must Include The Minimum Of The Following In Order To Be Hired<br><br><ul><li>You have a high school education or equivalent (GED).
