Technical CAD Designer IV -1 year W2 Contract remote

My Client, a Global leader in Nuclear Engineering and Technology, is looking for a Technical / CAD Designer IV for a 1 year W2 Contract. This role is remote, and you must be able to must be able to pass nuclear security background check to be eligible to work for this client. Qualifications An Associates degree in Structural Design (or similar) 5 years of experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry or similar industries. OR at least 10 years of relevant work experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry or similar industries. Minimum 5 years of experience using Inventor and REVIT Performed Drafting/Modeling Checking role for 5 years or more Must be able to pass nuclear security background check for access Serve in role as Drafting/Modeling Checker to ensure compliance with drafting standards and model management Experience managing project work schedules and priorities. Work proactively with Engineering teams to develop 3D Model in Autodesk Tool suite (Revit) Advanced knowledge of Revit family creation Autodesk Inventor experience a plus Experience using Autodesk BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud Experience using Autodesk Vault Experience using Autodesk Inventor Essential Responsibilities Preparing/Checking of 3D Revit and Inventor structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems. Create/Check definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a structural discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy. Has knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC and electrical. Design activity will require knowledge of design principles and drafting procedures. Work with BIM coordinator to manage and issue models in Autodesk Construction Cloud tool while enforcing configuration management plan. Support Civil Structural Team in 3D model (Navisworks, Revit, Inventor). Proficient in Revit & Autodesk suite of tools. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
