About the Role We're looking for experienced US English-speaking voice actors to participate in an expressive conversational voice project designed to advance the next generation of AI speech systems. Selected participants will record professionally written conversational scripts that capture a wide range of emotions, including excitement, frustration, sadness, curiosity, confidence, and more. Each recording includes scene context and character information to help deliver authentic, natural performances. This is a freelance, independent contractor engagement — not a salaried or full-time position. You choose when and how much you work. Responsibilities • Record high-quality conversational scripts with emotional expression and natural delivery • Perform character-based dialogue across a variety of scenarios and emotional states • Deliver clear, engaging speech with accurate pronunciation and strong vocal control • Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and performance quality across sessions • Follow recording and submission guidelines carefully • Provide multiple takes with variations in emotion, emphasis, and pacing when requested About You • Native or fluent US English speaker • Experienced in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, broadcasting, or related fields • Comfortable performing emotionally expressive and character-driven content • Strong command of diction, intonation, pacing, and vocal performance • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow project guidelines Technical Requirements • Professional or near-professional recording setup • Quality microphone (USB or XLR preferred) • Quiet recording environment with minimal background noise • Pop filter and basic audio recording knowledge preferred • Stable internet connection for file delivery and project communication Compensation • $35/hour • Freelance/piecework basis — independent contractor role Apply To this Job Apply To This Job
