Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a highly creative and trend-driven Virtual Freelance Designer specializing in Modern Indian Ethnic and Fusion Wear. This remote freelance role is ideal for designers who have a deep understanding of Indian textiles, silhouettes, and cultural aesthetics, blended seamlessly with contemporary global fashion trends. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative collections that appeal to modern consumers while preserving traditional elegance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and design modern Indian ethnic and fusion wear collections, including sarees, lehengas, kurtas, co-ord sets, Indo-western outfits, and occasion wear.

  • Research current fashion trends, color palettes, fabrics, and market demands relevant to Indian and global audiences.

  • Create detailed design sketches, mood boards, tech packs, and digital illustrations.

  • Select appropriate fabrics, embellishments, prints, embroidery techniques, and trims.

  • Collaborate virtually with merchandisers, production teams, and vendors to ensure design feasibility and quality.

  • Review samples, provide feedback, and suggest improvements to align with brand vision.

  • Ensure designs meet timelines, cost considerations, and quality standards.

  • Maintain consistency with brand identity while introducing fresh, innovative concepts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in designing Indian ethnic and fusion wear.

  • Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar tools.

  • Excellent understanding of Indian textiles, embroidery styles, surface ornamentation, and garment construction.

  • Ability to translate creative concepts into commercially viable designs.

  • Strong visual, aesthetic, and color sensibility.

  • Effective communication skills for virtual collaboration.

Experience
